Our Daily Bread: German Village Life, 1500-1850

Teva Scheer earned a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado in 2000. Teva and her husband live outside Victoria, British Columbia, where she writes, teaches, and gardens.
Our Daily Bread is the second of her 3 books of historical non-fiction. It provides a detailed description of what life would have been like in a typical farming village in southwestern Germany, concluding with the reasons why many emigrated to America in the early 19th century.

Attached is her outline of that presentation with space for taking notes, and also a vocabulary list of German words taken from her book.
