March 11, 2016“Uncover Your Scandinavian Roots”, MyHeritage webinar by Mike Mansfield and Jason Oler, (Scandinavian/Nordic Naming Patterns, History, and Records)

April 8, 2016– “Armenian Genocide April 1915, Syria; How I Discovered my Great Aunt’s Experiences”, by Julie Orvis.

April 22, 2016  – (Fourth Friday – Bonus Tour): Hedberg Public Library “The Janesville Room“:

Meet at BPL 8:30 a.m. and car-pool  to (HPL) Hedberg Public Library, 316 South Main Street, Janesville, WI.

We will tour and use “The Janesville Room”, and HPL databases (including Ancestry.com) after the HPL staff train us.

Bring your Library card; Computer Guest Passes are available for Illinois folks. We can use the computers without time limit until 5 p.m.

HPL has a volunteer -run coffee shop “The Ground Floor” with coffee, tea, soda, snacks, used books for sale, wifi, and a place to eat our bag lunches.

Before our WHS Tour – You may want to watch the WHS Video Tutorials, and “Preparing for a Trip to WHS” webinar .  “http://www.wisconsinhistory.org”  Pre-search using their catalog to make the best use of our time at WHS Wisconsin Historical Society Library.
July 22, 2016  – (Fourth Friday – Bonus Tour) – WHS Wisconsin Historical Society Library, Madison.  Meet 8 a.m. at South Beloit, IL Van Galder Bus – leaves @ 8:10 for $18. Tour @ 10 a.m.; lunch on your own; research until 4 p.m.  Buses travel hourly; last one leaves 6 p.m.
